Education Development Trust (EDT)

Building a communications function equipped for greater impact.

I developed a new marketing and communications strategy, team structure, and government engagement approach.

Big idea.

To improve education and transform lives through sustainable solutions, EDT needed a communications function that could connect its expertise, people and purpose more effectively.

The opportunity was not just to produce a plan. It was to create the structures, skills and capacity needed to make communications a stronger part of the organisations work with national and local government.

Simply told.

I worked the EDT to develop a new marketing and communications strategy, including practical blueprints for events and conferences.

I designed a new team structure, developed a recruitment plan for the roles needed, and created a government and media strategy to support EDT’s public profile and stakeholder relationships.

Lasting impact.

EDT gained a clearer, more sustainable model for communications - one that gave staff opportunities to build their skills, make collaboration across teams easier and aligned resources with the organisation’s priorities.

The work also gave EDT a stronger foundation for communicating its mission and engaging government and media audiences.
